Jimmy Gressier confirmed for the 5000m

Jimmy Gressier will be one of the headline athletes in the 5000m at the 2026 Herculis EBS Meeting, the 10th stop of the Diamond League, held on July 10 at Stade Louis II.

The Frenchman, world champion over 10,000m and bronze medalist in the 5,000m in Tokyo, enters the season as one of its leading contenders. A Diamond League winner, he aims to make Monaco a key milestone of his summer.

Holder of the French 5,000m record with 12:51.59 (Paris 2025), Gressier also recently delivered a standout road performance, setting a European 5km record of 12:51 in Lille in early April.

A regular at the Monaco event, the Boulogne-sur-Mer native has already shone there on multiple occasions, notably setting a French 5,000m record during the 2023 edition of the Herculis Meeting. He has also excelled at the Monaco Run, where he broke the European 5km record in both 2020 and 2023.
