The men’s javelin throw was a great show and Andreas HOFMANN took the lead, reaching a distance of 87.84m. In second place was the Estonian athlete Magnus KIRT with a throw of 87.47m. In third place was Thomas ROHLERwith a 86.04m throw.
Piotr LISEK leaped his way to first place in the Men’s Pole Vault tonight with an incredible World Lead, Meeting Record and National Record of 6m02!! What an evening for the Pole Vault’s competition. In second place Armand DUPLANTIS reached 5m92 and Thiago BRAZ was third with 5m92!
The Women’s High Jump was a fantastic show the crowd thoroughly enjoyed! Mariya LASITSKENE once again jumped her way to victory with 2m!! Mirela DEMIREVA came in second place with a 1.94m jump, and shortly behind her was the Australian athlete Nicola McDERMOTT, also with 1.94m.
What a race! The Women’s 400m Hurdles set the crowd on fire with an intense, fast pace race. In first place was Sydney McLaughlin finishing in 53.32 with a new World Lead!! Followed by Ashley Spencer in 54.46 and Zuzana Hejnova in 54.55.
The 800m race was an incredible show with outstanding results! Ajee WILSON finished in first place with 1:57.73, followed by Natoya GOULE in 1:57.90. In third place was Laura MUIR; she set a new PB of 1:58.42.
The Men’s 400m flashed by and was over before the crowd was ready for it to end! With a quick finish Steven GARDINER came in first place with 44.51, shortly followed by the qatari athlete Abderrahman SAMBA in 45.00. In third place was Nathan STROTHER reaching the finish line in 45.54.
The Men’s 1500m was a fantastic show in the Stade Louis II tonight! Timothy CHERUIYOT ran his way to victory, finishing in first place in 3:29.97. In second place was Jakob INGEBRIGTSEN in 3:30.47 ; in third place was Musagala RONALD, who set a national record for Uganda.
The men’s Triple Jump once again has entertained the crowd and proved to be a success! Christian Taylor won with a seasonal best and Meeting Record of 17m82. Hoping into second place Will Claye with 17m75 and in third Pedro Pichardo with 17m38
This line up was impressive, and so was the race! Kendra HARRISON hurdled her way to victory with a remarkable time of 12.43 and a season’s best! 2nd place went to Danielle WILLIAMS with 12.52, another season’s best. Christina CLEMONS came in third with 12.62.
An amazing atmosphere tonight at Stade Louis II for the men’s 800m! Nijel AMOS claimed the victory with an astonishing time of 1:41.89, shortly followed by Ferguson ROTICH with 1:42.54. Coming in third place was Amel TUKA with a time of 1:43.62.
An exciting and riveting 200m in the Stade Louis II. Shaunae MILLER-UIBO won the women's 200m race, running a time of 22.09, followed by Elaine THOMPSON in 22.44. In third place, Dafne SCHIPPERS reached the finish line in 22.45.
HerculisEBS paid tribute to the American distance runner, Gabriele GRUNEWALD who passed away a few weeks ago after a long battle with cancer #BraveLikeGabe Gabe’s fight inspired us and therefore named the 1 mile run Brave Like Gabe. She promised, and she delivered! Sifan HASSAN took on the Brave Like Gabe Mile in an astonishing time of 4:12.33, setting a new World Record !! Second place went to Laura WEIGHTMAN with a PB of 4:17.60 and Gabriela STAFFORD secured a third place with 4:17.87 and a Canadian record.
The last sprinting event of the night was over in the batter of an eyelid! In this star-packed 100m, Justin GATLIN clocked a dashing 9.91 to take the win! He was closely followed by Noah LYLES with 9.92. Third was Michael RODGERS in 10.01.
The Herculis Diamond League finished with a bang! The Stade Louis II proved to be a fast track, as demonstrated in the Men’s 3000m Steeplechase: Soufiane EL BAKKALI finished in first place with a new World Lead of 9:04.82. In second place was Benjamin KIGEN in 8:05.12; and in third place was Getnet WALE in 8:05.51, synonym of an Ethiopian record.
