In the 200m, specialists will compete against the men in shape:
Warren WEIR & Christophe LEMAITRE Vs Justin GATLIN & Jimmy VICAUT. The 200m experts Warren WEIR, Olympic Bronze medalist in 2012 and silver medalist at the world championship in 2013 on the distance, and Christophe LEMAITRE, bronze medalist in 2011 and French record holder, will have a lot to do against the 100m world leader this year, Justin GATLIN with 9.87 in Beijing, and the European leader Jimmy VICAUT with 9.95 in Aix-les-Bains, but even more with 9.76 and 9.89 for both of them during the IAAF Diamond League in Eugene, unfortunately too-winded.
With personal records at 19.79 for Warren WEIR and 19.80 for Christophe LEMAITRE on 200m, they will be the favorites against the 20.00 of Justin GATLIN and the 20.30 of Jimmy VICAUT, but once in the starting blocks on the Louis II Stadium’ track on July 18th, they will wipe the slate clean …
