Herculis EBS 2020 nominated for the WA Awards

Despite a complicated year 2020 marked by the cancellation of many sporting events, the Herculis EBS meeting of Monaco succeeded, thanks to the support of fans, athletes and volunteers, in organizing an exceptional international sporting event.

132 athletes including 13 reigning World Champions from 36 countries and 6 continents achieved 14 best world performances of the year, 8 of which remained at the end of the season. These remarkable results allowed Herculis EBS to be the best meeting of 2020 and to match the usual Diamond League standards.

The International Federation has decided to create a trophy, called the Covid Inspiration Award, which will reward an initiative taken by a person or a group of people who have enabled the practice of athletics, during the coronavirus pandemic. World Athletics recognizes the meeting de Monaco as one of the most inspiring events during the COVID period and invite Athletics fans to reward these efforts on social networks.
The Ultimate Garden Clash and the Gdynia Half Marathon Worlds are also nominated.
