COCO is a charity working in remote regions of the developing world with local communities to promote children’s education by combatting poverty and other factors which can impede education. The charity focuses on the local scale in order to provide a better-suited and longer-lasting impact. COCO bases its work on listening to the needs of each population and working alongside local leaders.
As a supporter of the charity’s values and actions, Herculis donated two packages of two VIP seats for this year’s edition which were sold at an auction during a charity event hosted by British decathlete Daley Thompson, 1980 and 1984 Olympic winner.
The Herculis prize raised £4,200 which went towards one of COCO’s Schools for Life project, a secondary school called Kindimba in rural Southern Tanzania. Some of the funding also went towards a classroom that Daley Thompson opened in January.
A special thank you to Barry Crane and Lara Morgan, last year’s auction winners. We look forward to greeting them on the Monegasque track this Friday July 15th!
