For the women’s contest, the Chinese thrower, Lijiao GONG took the win, with an amazing throw of 20.31m, only 7 centimeters behind her world lead performance. Raven SAUNDERS came in second with a new season best of 19.67m, followed by Christina SCHWANITZ, who threw 19.51. Not to mention Valerie ADAMS’s performance. The new-Zealander athlete, established a new season best of 19.31m, the best she has thrown in two years.
For the men’s contest, Ryan CROUSER pushed hard to win the event, with a throw of 22.05m. The Olympic Champion was the only one to throw over the 22m mark. With a 21.72m throw, a new season best for him, Darrell HILL came second. Only two centimeters behind was Darlan ROMANI, the Brazilian thrower.
