Organized by AS Monaco Athletics, the first athletic event of the 2018/19 Monegasque season featured a program of 9 races of different distances according to age categories. From athletics school to master, more than 400 runners have crossed a path between beach and asphalt.
The Herculis EBS meeting joined the organization of the Lactic Race, a direct elimination race combining speed and strategy. The competitors had to complete a 600-meter loop four times to qualify for the final. At each turn, the last two competitors crossing the finish line are eliminated. The five athletes in each category qualified in the final will complete a 1000-meter loop.
