The men 400m race was incredible! Indeed, VAN NIEKERK established a new Meeting Record, improving the old record by more than a second. The South African Champion was followed by Isaac MAKWALA (BOT), a strong competitor who proved he could run fast (43''84). It must be noted that it's the first time two men have gone sub-43.9 in the same race. Not to mention that during this race, Luka JANEZIC (SLO), who finished 6th, improved his National Record to 44.84.
