The Monaco Run ended in 2019 with 2 World records on the 5km Herculis, established by Sifan HASSAN and Julien WANDERS.
In 2020, this race will once again be very tough with the 10 000m World champion and winner of the 2019 Diamond League in 5 000m, Joshua CHEPTEGEI who will be at the start.
To challenge the Ugandan, Jimmy GRESSIER second European performer of all time over 10km (27'43) will have in mind the European record of Julien Wanders (13'29).
On the female side, Liv WESTPHAL french recordwoman on the 10km will also compete with great ambitions.
The start of this open-to-all race will be given on Sunday February 16 at 10:15 am.
Big names of running attending the event adds ups to an already exciting schedule on the weekend of Saturday February 15 and Sunday February 16 in the Hercule harbor of Monaco. Following on from 2019 edition, the FMA will offer events adapted to all levels and all ages as well as a charity walk.
Earlier in the morning on Sunday, the Hercule harbor of Monaco will host the City Trail of around 10km.
On Saturday 15 February, runners can come and collect their bibs at the Running Expo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1000m races will enliven the afternoon of Saturday. This flagship distance of track athletics, and in particular of the Herculis EBS meeting, is exported to the port of Monaco. These free races are open to everyone from the age of 8.
