Big Champions ready to conquer Monaco!

The Herculis Meeting never disappoints. This year again, all the biggest champions have gathered in Monaco. Let’s look at some numbers…

162, is the number of athletes attending the 31st edition of Meeting Herculis EBS. On Thursday 19 July, the “Port Hercule” will host two shot put competitions starting 6:30pm. The following day, there will be five women’s Diamond League events (pole vault, 100m, 400m, 800m, 3000m steeplechase) and six men’s Diamond League events (110m hurdles, 200m, 1500m, triple jump, high jump, 3000m steeplechase) at the “Stade Louis II”. Two additional events  will also take place (women’s 100m hurdles and men’s 800m) to the public’s delight. 

43, is the total number of World Championship titles won by our athletes. Among them, the quadruple shot put World Champion, Valerie ADAMS and her male counterpart Tomas WALSH, triple World Champion. In the women’s categories, Yarisley SILVA (pole vault), Jessica BEARD (400m), Dafné SCHIPPERS (100m), Caster SEMENYA (800m) and Emma COBURN (3000m steeplechase) will make an appearance. In the men’s categories, the famous Conseslus KIPRUTO (1500m), Ramil GULIYEV (200m), Pierre-Ambroise BOSSE (800m) and Elijah MANANGOI (1500m) will be there. 

19, is the number of Olympic titles won overall.  We are expecting to see female athletes Michelle CARTER (shot put), Katerina STEFANIDI (pole vault), Phyllis FRANCIS (400m), Dawn HARPER-NELSON (100m hurdles), Elaine THOMPSON (100m), and male athletes Ryan CROUSER (shot put), David STORL (shot put), Christian TAYLOR (triple jump), Matthew Centrowitz (1500m), Aries MERRITT (110m hurdles).
